MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE

2006 TN SECTION MEETING ON

JUNE 13th

The 2006 ASABE TN section meeting will be held on the Agricultural Campus of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville on Tuesday, June 13th. The meeting will be held in room 156 of the Plant Biotechnology Building at 2505 E J Chapman Drive.

The guest speakers will be Dr. Joseph DiPietro, the new UTIA vice-president, and Dr. George Grandle, the new department head of Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science. We will also be touring the Plant Science Unit and the site of the new Dairy Unit of the East Tennessee Research and Education Center.

Registration

Early registration through May 15 is $30 and for students $15 (FREE if you give a technical presentation). Late registration through Friday, June 7 is $35. After June 7, on-site registration is welcome, but there is no guarantee of the availability of lunch or tour transportation.

To register, simply send an email to wright1@utk.edu and pay the registration fee on the day of the meeting, or send payment by check to

The registration fee covers refreshments, lunch, and tour transportation.

If you are interested in making a 10-15 minute technical presentation, please send an abstract to W. C. Wright at wright1@utk.edu by May 15.

During the June 2005 meeting the board decided to hold the TN section meeting on campus at UT - Knoxville. The officers elected were Wesley Wright, President; Timothy Prather, President Elect; Brian Corwin, Secretary/Treasurer; Harmon Towne, Past President; and John Tyner, Awards.
