Reporting System Work Group
The State Extension Reporting System Work Group was organized to evaluate UT Extension reporting needs and systems. The group has been working since April, 2004.
Changing needs, opportunities and challenges require a new Extension Reporting System. Some of these changes include:
- the need to ensure our reporting is as streamlined as possible;
- the opportunity to use advances in technology which were not available when the original Tennessee Extension Management Information System (MIS) was designed; and
- the challenge of documenting statewide impact.
After carefully considering Extension Reporting Systems used in 12 other states, the group found that the best course of action was to build a new Extension Reporting System.
A Request for Proposals to build a custom Extension Reporting System was issued. The Pre-Bid Presentation for the Extension Reporting System Proposers was conducted on February 25, 2005, in 157 Plant Biotech.
