Federal Accomplishment Report
The Extension program planning and evaluation process is mandated in the Smith-Lever Act of 1914, as amended, the Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 and the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998. Consistent with USDA-CSREES guidelines, Tennessee's Annual Accomplishment Reports include only statewide programs with measured outcomes and the most robust social, economic and/or environmental impact. Historically the report was compiled from over 700 Extension impact statements submitted annually to the Extension MIS. USDA-CSREES implemented new directives in 2006 requiring the establishment of logic models for planned programs. Annual Accomplishment Reports require outcomes and outcome targets for all planned programs. Extension's new reporting system, the System for University Planning, Evaluation and Reporting (SUPER), supports these new directives. The Annual Accomplishment Report represents the combined efforts of UT Extension, UT Agricultural Experiment Station and TSU Cooperative Extension Program.

Federal Plan of Work
The plan includes anticipated Federal expenditures by knowledge areas and topics for UT Extension, UT Agricultural Experiment Station and TSU Cooperative Extension Program. Questions may be directed to Joel Lown, Latif Lighari and Joseph Donaldson who provide leadership for this planning effort. Historically, Extension personnel at county, regional and state levels have been burdened in creating this Plan of Work. Data from SUPER has been used to complete every portion of Extension's contribution to the Plan of Work.
